# Contributing

Thank you for your interest in contributing to **Team Hauchdev**. This guide covers hLobby, hChat, and this documentation site.

## Before you start

**1. Fork**

Fork the repository you want to contribute to.

**2. Branch**

Create a feature branch: `git checkout -b feature/my-feature`.

**3. Code**

Make your changes.

**4. Test**

Run the project tests or build locally.

**5. Commit**

Commit using clear messages in English or Spanish.

**6. Pull request**

Open a pull request with a description of what changed and why.

## hLobby contributions

When adding a command, permission, or message, update:

* `src/main/resources/config.yml`
* `src/main/resources/lang/en.yml` and `es.yml`
* `README.md` and `docs/CONFIGURATION.md`
* Unit tests when applicable

Build locally with:

```bash theme={null}
./gradlew build
```

## hChat contributions

Please follow [Conventional Commits](https://www.conventionalcommits.org/) (Spanish or English both fine). When you add a command, permission, or feature, update:

* `lang_en.yml` and language files
* `plugin.yml`
* `README.md`
* This documentation site

Make sure the project stays green:

```bash theme={null}
mvn clean verify
```

## Documentation contributions

This site is built with [Mintlify](https://mintlify.com). Pages are MDX files with YAML frontmatter.

To preview locally:

```bash theme={null}
npm i -g mint
mint dev
```

When adding a new page, register it in `docs.json` under the correct locale and group.
